Preliminary Program Grid for Bernie Mojzes

This is the Preliminary program schedule. Bernie Mojzes may or may not actually be on these items, but probably will. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, modifications to the program can occur throughout the convention.

Friday 8:00 pm: An Animal World (Ends at: 8:55 pm) Rockville/ Potomac
Panelists:Alan Loewen (M), Mike McPhail, Bernie Mojzes, Lawrence M. Schoen, Michelle D. Sonnier
Animal protagonists need to be a mix of animal nature and human level intelligence, not just people in animal suits. The panel will discuss the joys and pitfalls of working with these characters.
Friday 11:30 pm: Bernie Mojzes Reading (Ends at: 11:55 pm) Seneca
Author:Bernie Mojzes
Saturday 11:00 pm: The Care and Feeding of Villains (Ends at: 11:55 pm) Rockville/ Potomac
Panelists:Martin Berman-Gorvine, Bernie Mojzes, James R. Stratton, David Walton (M)
With Fu Manchu, Emperor Ming, Darth Vader, and the Joker, fantasy and SF are filled with villains that are redeemable and unredeemable. For the next hour, explore with authors the role of vIllains both classic and modern as well as their transition from caricature to ones that are human enough to be your next door neighbor (and just might be).
Sunday 11:00 am: Feeding Off Fairy Tales (Ends at: 11:55 am) Rockville/ Potomac
Panelists:Deidre Dykes, L. Jagi Lamplighter (M), Bernie Mojzes, A.C. Wise
Many authors use fairy tales as an inspiration or even the basis of a new novel. The panelists will discuss why we keep going back to these stories, which ones are the most popular and which ones are ripe for use.
