Preliminary Program Grid for Shahid Mahmud

This is the Preliminary program schedule. Shahid Mahmud may or may not actually be on these items, but probably will. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, modifications to the program can occur throughout the convention.

Saturday 12:00 pm: Small Press Publishing in 2018 (Ends at: 12:55 pm) Rockville/ Potomac
Panelists:Neil Clarke, Shahid Mahmud, Joshua Palmatier, Lezli Robyn, Ian Randal Strock (M), Sean Wallace
Capclave is lucky to have a number of small press publishers as program participants. The folks from Arc Manor/Phoenix Pick, Prime Books, Zombies Need Brains, Wyrm Publishing, and Fantastic Books talk about their upcoming projects
Saturday 3:00 pm: I Hate His/Her Politics, But I Love His/Her Books (Ends at: 3:55 pm) Frederick
Panelists:Ron Garner, Natalie Luhrs, Shahid Mahmud, K.M. Szpara (M)
Should a personal evaluation of an author be separated from how you view his/her politics? Many people refused to see the movie Enders Game because of Orson Scott Cards statements on homosexuality and other writers charge that political views influence award nominations and who is picked for con programming. Is this true and if so, is it a good thing or a bad thing?
