Silent Auction for the SWFA Emergency Medical Fund
Capclave is honored to have a silent auction this year for the Science Fiction Writers of America Emergency Medical Fund, which offers interest-free loans to members facing unexpected medical expenses. For writers, editors and others in the publishing industry who often have no medical insurance, this fund can be a true life saver.
Donations for the auction will be accepted at the convention. Books, Tuckerizations, memorabilia and even science fiction clothing are welcome. Give a donation, bid in the auction: it is all for a great cause and there are some really cool items on the table. Forms will be available for those who prefer to give a cash donation.
The Auction Administrator will have rule sheets, bid slips, bidder registrations, and donation receipts available at Capclave -- look for the Silent Auction table in the Dealers Room.
To allow those who might have to leave Capclave on Saturday to participate, the Silent Auction will end on October 12 at 3:30pm. Please make sure you check these exciting opportunities early and often!
If you want to let us know in advance what you are bringing (and get it listed on this website), please sent email to our .
