What's the latest news?

(22 June 2009)

We've put up a survey (available here or off the main grid) asking for your opinion of Capclave. We have a lot of people that have come to Capclave in the past, but not returned. We'd like to know why. Is it something we did? Something we didn't do? Something entirely out of our control? Please take a look and give us some feedback so that we can make Capclave even better.

We're within 5 months of the con now and things are heating up. Lots and lots of updates have been made to the webpage, but I've been a bit lax in updating this list. Let's try to rectify that.

You can see all the participants that have agreed to attend on the Participants page. While they have assured us that they really do plan to attend, please keep in mind that real life has not guarentees. If anybody needs to drop out, we'll try to make an announcement here. For example, we are sorry to have to report that Esther Friesner, will not be able to attend this year.

The people who have signed up to attend Capclave can be found on the Attendees page.

The first of our confirmed Workshops is no listed. Alan Wold has agreed to do a repeat of his Writers Workshop. We'll update that page as our other workshops are confirmed.

We will also, once again, be hosting a silent auction to benefit the Science Fiction Writers of America Emergency Medical Fund

Although still a couple years away, planning and brainstorming ideas has begun.  Volunteers will be needed to coordinate all of the many events and activities.  Please talk to Bill L. if you want to be involved or have ideas to share.

Welcome! We're laying the groundwork for the Capclave 2009 convention. There's not much to see yet, but check back and we'll fill in all the details as things come together.
